Stargate:Midgard is a SIMM, this is an online RPG, or SIMMulation, hence the name. It is meant to be a place for creative people to invent a new and exciting spin-off of the Stargate Universe.

Stargate Midgard is set on Midgard base, located on a classified planet in the Milky Way. It was founded after the discovery of a set of new Stargate Addresses in the Asgard database given to the people of Earth after the Asgard's mass suicide. The new addresses were given only to the races in the coalition, The Furlings,Asgard and the Nox by the fourth member race, the Ancients. The planets were considered of special importance, mainly because of high mineral resources or occasionally because of there outstanding beauty or value for research on other species or cosmic events, such as black holes and coronal mass emissions.

SG:M has a complete copy of the Asgard Database which is accessible through the base's network, various teams explore the planets listed and scientists and archaeologists explore the database and experiment with there findings on the base, a ship has yet to be garrisoned to SG:Midgard but a new B-305 is being built especially for the base.

SG:M is set immediately following the events of the SG1 DVD Film, Ark of Truth. That means no Ori...but i'm sure there will be a few old enemies out in space...and maybe some new.
